In summer 2001 a group of young businessmen and intellectuals under the pseudonym “The Guardians of Beauteous Serbia” joined in a mutual project titled “Beauteous Serbia”. The aim was to reposition Serbia in the World cultural map and launch the appropriate image of our Country in both global and local public in a way it was never presented before. Namely, the project is based solely on non-political, impartial artistic elements of expression that consist of the text written of our famous writers, photographs of our best photographers, paintings of our greatest painters, design solutions of our biggest designers etc, presented in the most luxurious layout, deserving of such a significant undertaking.

In winter 2002 the first issue of the magazine “Lepa Srbija ” was published, and the hard work was crowned with a PR award for 2003 in the category of magazines. Shortly after that the team undertakes the two-year long task of comprising a monograph on Belgrade on amazing 1008 pages.

The monograph “Belgrade – the city of secrets” met positive reactions from public the moment it was published in December 2004 due to the highest standards applied in design and print, and also due to the unprecedented team of authors that participated in the making of the magazine.

Actually, this is only the beginning of a large-scale initiative. The brand name “Lepa Srbija” is intended to comprise a great variety of famous products offered by Serbia today, such as our ethno and spiritual music, great wines and artifacts, maps, cards and calendars… This will be a genuine quest for the personified Beauteous Serbia.
